| Video Discription | Generally what we advise is exclusive breastfeeding in the first 6 months for all the babies. Once the babies approach an age of approximately 5 and a half months and because many of the mothers nowadays are working and they need to resume their jobs. Generally we start with a little bit of homemade food at this age, that is 5 and half months. We tell the parents that the introduction of food is to be done gradually that the baby tolerates and we give them a weaning diet chart which the need to follow. So I would say that at the age of 5 and a half is good enough. In some special situations we do start a little more earlier which is around 5 months.
