Highlight of the track in my mind (other the soulful composition and amazing singing by Shri. S.Janaki) are the slides that compliment each chord in the Pallavi! Hope you like my bass cover. I’d like to thank Mrs. Subhashree Thanickachalam to have initiated a series called QFR (Quarantine From Reality) that focusses on performances of famous Tamil film songs with all insight one could ask for. I was elated when she asked me to play bass for Ponvaanam, which was part of QFR. What you hear is completely re-recorded by my good buddy and a wonderful pianist, Shyam Benjamin along with Venkat on Percussions, Kumar on Flute and Sriranjani on Vocals.
