| Video Discription | An important aspect of the Spectrum Brass Seminar is our focus on entrepreneurial classes. Each summer we offer a variety of different class topics, and one of those is about ‘brass arranging’. Trombonist Adam LeFevre is one of our many accomplished alumni of the Spectrum Brass Seminar, having attended three summers in 2017, 2018, and 2019. He grew up in South Lyon, MI and earned his Music Performance degree at the University of Michigan. Adam always brought in new music to the Arranging Class, and has since become quite an avid arranger of brass music himself. Over the course of the pandemic, he worked diligently on recording a brand new arrangement of Frank Ticheli’s Blue Shades for Brass Ensemble. Adam agreed to let me create a photo montage of ‘Blue Shades’ to go along with his magnificent recording and present it here on the Spectrum Brass page. We hope you enjoy!!
