With a lengthy program to fulfill and a sloping topography, the Pedrosa House was erected in a manner that exploits the local conditions, values the view of a bamboo grove in front of the residence and affords greater interaction between architecture and nature.

The triangular shape of the Cerrado House sought to offer a perspective to extract the best from the plot, lightening and highlighting the upper block, and at the same time protecting the private and social areas from the strong sunlight dominant in this region.\

This project’s central proposal is that the architectural space is open, combining with the greenery of the surroundings and allowing the view of the region to be appreciated. The glass panels and the permeable front closure seek to dilute the limits between exterior and interior, joining its gardens to those of the condominium.

Designed for a couple and two children, the ÉS House was conceived as two superimposed blocks, where the intimate upper module rests on the social lower module. To exploit the integration with the outdoors, openings were proposed on both sides of the project.

The proposal for this residence was designed to organize the program in a manner that would enhance the volumetry and make the most of the conditions and challenges of the terrain. The marquee that rises from the garage blends into the main entrance, creating a covered patio that offers a contemplative use for this space.

The principles of feng shui were guiding factors for the design of the project, defining both its sectoring and its form. The physical conditions of the terrain were another important aspect to define the implementation of the service sector at street level and the social and living quarters, raised up in order to exploit the beautiful view of the city, besides creating a generous private patio.

The topography was a condition that oriented the concept of the project because it allowed the program to be distributed in two concrete blocks suspended over pilotis. The position of these blocks sought to maximize the use of the plot and made it possible to turn the leisure area to face the interior, making this region the center of the project.
