| Video Discription | Let us follow the footsteps of Stephen, the great grandson of one of Penang’s proudest children - the great philanthropist Mr. Yeap Chor Ee, into the historical building of the Lum Yeung Tong Yap Temple. In 1884, Stephen’s great grandfather arrived in Penang at the age of 17. Thanks to his enormous effort and perseverance, together with his fellow clansmen they managed to build the Yap Temple. His name was engraved in the Ancestral Tablet and is still being worshiped on the altar to this day. In his adventure, Stephen will share with us what an Ancestral Tablet looks like and the meaning that it carries, all through the eyes and narrative of a Caucasian.
