My name is Kevin Carrington "The Voice" and I am a CBC reporter based here in Toronto and an emcee. I also pump out a lot of voice overs and DJ drops too! I've been using my APEX 460 microphone exclusively for 6-7yrs. Earlier this year I began to run into a serious issue with my mic. It was engulfed in static when recording and no amount of audio processing could eliminate it. I thought the cause was because I had recently moved my home studio into the basement. SURPRISE! SURPRISE! The microphone was shot. There wasn't much info on the issue but I was able to find a fix and it's pretty simple. So when I was looking for a topic for my first video I knew this would be a great place to start!
