Complete VSAC's Unified Scholarship Application: https://www.vsac.org/pay/applying-online-financial-aid/vsac-assisted-scholarships 2. Get your Unit Command to sign the Application 3. Submit the Application to Vermont's Education Officer Education Officer contact information: CPT Axel, Larson Office: (802) 338-3378 Email: axel.a.larson.mil@mail.mil The State Tuition Assistance Benefit, Vermont National Guard Tuition Benefit Program (VNGTBP) will cover tuition of all Vermont State Colleges and UVM. For private universities, a scholarship will be awarded at the same rate as Vermont State University. More information about the benefit: - If you have remaining Federal Tuition Assistance Benefits, FTA will be applied first, and then STA. - If you already have a Bachelors or higher, you cannot use this benefit at this time. - Full Tuition paid to any Vermont State College or UVM. - A scholarship up to the Vermont State University Rate for any private university (other than UVM) Obligation Information: A two year obligation per award full award which runs concurrent to your current contract. A normal initial 8 year enlistment would completely cover the obligation of a 4 years degree. The obligation can be pro-rated: 1 credit=1 month, 1 semester=1 year When used for certificate programs: 6-month service commitment per certificate.
