Ahmed was transported here by car for the hearing in an MP-MLA court from Sabarmati Prison. Prior to the hearing, he was detained at Prayagraj's Naini Central Prison. The convoy has reached to Rajasthan after passing through MP. Former Phulpur-based Samajwadi Party member Ahmed was transferred to Sabarmati Central Prison in Gujarat in June 2019 as a result of a Supreme Court ruling after being charged with planning the abduction and assault of real estate mogul Mohit Jaiswal from an incarceration in Uttar Pradesh.
