Data from the trade ministry on Friday show auto shipments hit a record of a little under 5 billion U.S. dollars last month. Over 208-thousand units were sold, up more than 30 percent on-year. North America was the most popular export destination, followed by the EU. Eco-friendly cars accounted for a quarter of the exports, with 52-thousand sold in October, marking on-year growth of 36 percent. In terms of value, the increase was 1-point-4-5 billion dollars or 27 percent the second largest for any month after July this year.
