As a highly-priced forest patch in India, Marayoor is guarded round the clock by armed forest guards and watchers as well as thermal infrared cameras aimed at protecting the forest from smugglers. MARAYOOR JAGGERY ________________________ A product of such cultivation is the world famous delicacy called Marayoor Jaggery. Jaggery is the term for dark brown sugar balls made of condensed sugar cane juice. In sugar cane farms, manufacturing units are set up and the Jaggery is manufactured by the farmers, KANTHALLOOR _________________ Kanthalloor is a virtually rain shadow village, lying in the eastern side of the Western Ghats near to Marayur,The place is famous for its cool season fruits and vegetables. Kanthalloor is famous for its apple, oranges, plums, peaches and variety of other fruits and vegetables that are not grown in other parts of Kerala.
