In the early 1970s, at the height of the struggle for civil rights, several race riots are breaking out in major cities of the United States. Ron Stallworth (John David Washington) becomes the first Black American officer from Colorado Springs Police Department, but his arrival is greeted with skepticism, even with frank hostility, by lower ranks’ agents from the police station. Taking his courage in both hands, Stallworth will try to move the lines and, perhaps, to leave his mark in history. He sets himself a most perilous mission: infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan to denounce the abuses.
