Long circled the ring and looked to work from a distance with his jab. A big lunging left hook sent Long into the ropes and down on his backside in the fight. He made it to his feet at the count of three. Tyson came forward and threw a barrage that sent Long down to a knee ... He got up at the count of two. A short left hook buckled Long's knees and sent him down for the third time in the bout.. Following the knockout, Tyson famously blew a kiss at the camera. - "I remember going to the fight, and I remember waking up in the hospital. As far as the actual fight, I can't tell you a single thing. After I fought Mike Tyson, my whole career went down the drain. I went from thinking I was somebody great to being lost in the wilderness. I lost my faith in myself. I thought I was a loser and a failure again. I went back to the streets and the destruction." - Donnie Long in an interview with ESPN in 2005. I just do it with a lot of aggression. Anybody that wants to say in the business for a long time, like myself I'd like to box for at least a good twenty years because I love the game, and to be in this game for twenty years you can't take a lot of punches.
