| Video Discription | We have a water salt tasting video for you this week that we found eye opening! Mike made a serial dilution of table salt (NaCl) and Calcium Chloride (CaCl2) in low mineral spring water. The same base water he normally uses for brewing. We tasted the series of dilutions from weakest to strongest going all the way up to 1000ppm of each compound. We noted and discussed the point at which we began to notice the amount of salt present in the samples. We noted the different flavor experience between Sodium and Calcium in water. We finish with a discussion about how this may effect brewing water decisions in the future for us.
