Whenever I talk about Brock Powell, there's always an air of bias because our good friend Kevin Fenix introduced us during a game night that lead to him becoming my voice over coach. Powell, who was mentored by Bill "Goofy" Farmer trained me in animation voice over, but the market lead me to sports announcing as a Public Address Announcer, In-Game Host and Ring Announcer. However, all that training did not go to waste as those kills Powell helped me develop got me where I needed to be and all of Farmer's training took him from working at Disney's California Adventure, to now working behind the microphone for several Disney series, including 'Hamster & Gretel', which airs on Disney Channel and streams on Disney+. Powell confesses he grew up in a broken home, forcing his family to constantly move in his youth, but that the one main consistent in his life was the Disney Afternoon block of cartoons. He also confessed that he listened to 10 years worth of podcasts about voice over before taking the initiative and entering the world itself. During D23 Expo and Disney Centennial, Powell as the moderator for the 'Hamster & Gretel', which is a role he prepared for earlier in the season, because he played a moderator very early in season one. Known for his love of villains and his development of creature voices, Powell has already a career where he also voices Pluto's dog house on Disney's 'Mickey Mouse Funhouse', which for those that might not know, Pluto is also voiced by his mentor, Bill Farmer. Powell is not the only one in his family that is a performer, his fiancé Camyrn Grimes (not to be mistaken with WWE NXT Superstar, Camren Grimes) is a soap opera star and voice actress. Mentioning the other Camren Grimes, the two have a bit of a twitter exchange from time to time where Ms. Grimes reminds the sports entertainer that he has taken her name.
