Starting my life as a trainee lawyer, I really had very little idea what the role of a corporate lawyer was (other than looking as sharp as Harvey or Rachel). I also didn’t appreciate how many different teams there were within a law firm, and how these teams all mesh together to help companies with different types of deals and legal issues 🤯 I’ve now worked at a magic circle corporate law firm for over two years, so wanted to run through (in plain English) the basics of what I wish I had known going into this career.
