MALBATO CHURCH
is a charming little church decorated with stone fragments called the Malbato Church. The church is beautifully situated at the top of the hill, which means that in order to reach the church, we had to climb it up. It’s an easy path though because there’s a stairway and the climb isn’t that high. (200 steps)
One of a kind design in the Philippines; sense of serenity when your inside the church; great view overlooking the surrounding area.
RIO PLAYA BEACH
It is also a great place where you can have lunch and or spend free leisure time.
CALAUIT SAFARI
a wildlife sanctuary of African and endemic animals of Palawan. the entire Calauit Island, was declared as a wildlife sanctuary and game preserve in 1977.
It took us 2.5 hours to reach the small dock going to Calauit Island and another 5 minutes boat trip to Calauit Island. Zebras and giraffes in the park were sent to Calauit Island from Africa during the reign of President Marcos to help save the endangered animals
The Calauit Game Refuge and Wildlife Sanctuary will get you the chance to see giraffes, gazelles and zebras, even brown deer just like in Africa. Along with these beautiful exotic animals, you'll see unusual local fauna, such as the Calamian deer, estuarine crocodile, the Palawan bearcat and the Palawan spiny anteater.
You will even get the opportunity to help the park rangers feed some of the animals in the morning, allowing you to get a much more personal experience.
It’s funny because unlike in usual zoos, here, we were the ones fenced, while the giraffes came right up to us to feed on fresh leaves. The tour guide will even show you A more intimate way of feeding the giraffes. (Kissing giraffes) you read that right!
A total of eight species of animals were transported but only the zebras and giraffes survived at this time.Experience a heartwarming close encounter with zebras and giraffes all the way from Kenya.
While zebras, giraffes and deer are free to roam around the 3,700 hectares of the Calauit Safari Park, other animals, some are endemic to the Philippines, are held in captivity such as Philippine crocodiles, porcupines, civet cats (which defecates the renowned expensive coffee beans), turtles, phyton, monkeys and wild boars.
BLACK ISLAND
an island filled with greenery, cliffs, and caves. Explore its majestic beach and caves for a new exciting experience.
Malajon Island is called Black Island because of the towering black limestones on it. Although the beach has a white sand, there are black stones scattered all over the area that came from the towering limestone.
Black Island is also known to locals as Malajon Island. The journey took about an hour in a calm sea and beautiful sceneries of islands, beaches, The cave in black island- has a salt water pool in it.
BUSUANGA TOWN
Take a photo with Busuanga Town’s tourist signage.
So far, this is the best tour in Coron- if you want to go off the beaten track- experience being close to nature and also wild animals. Discovering history, caves, rock formations, stone architecture, and beautiful beaches.
