So if you are having to take insulin and if you are having to travel, you can do very easily basically because most people who are on insulin end up taking approximately 10 to 15 units of that particular insulin daily and they will usually exhaust a single cartridge of insulin in 10 to 15 days and any cartridge of insulin if it is kept outside at a temperature of 30 degrees or lesser, that is normal room temperature, insulin will retain itself activity and it will work just fine. You don’t need to refrigerate insulin in use. As long as insulin is once use you can keep it in room temperature provided the temperature does not go very high and it does not go very warm. Even in conditions where insulin tends to become very warm, you can easily refrigerate insulin using ice packs, cool packs easily. So just because you travel, do not say no to insulin when your doctor recommends it.
