At a virtual press conference last Thursday, Quebec immigration minister Nadine Girault said that the province is facing a shortage of 17,000 or 18,000 people and they plan to fill the gap by working on different ways to allow people to enter. Her comments came days after Jean Boulet, the province’s labour minister said that it is important to resume immigration and the need to speed up the flow of immigrant workers to the province.
