Nasi lemak merupakan makanan yang populer di Malaysia dan Singapura. Biasanya dilengkapi dengan berbagai lauk seperti telur, kacang, ikan bilis, timun, dan sambal bilis. Resep Nasi Lemak (untuk 4-6 porsi) Nasi lemak: 500 ml beras atau 375 gr beras 450 ml air 60 ml santan 30 ml minyak 2 sdm bawang merah goreng 1 sdt bawang putih goreng 3 cm jahe, iris 2 batang serai, potong dan geprek 2 lembar daun pandan 1 sdt garam 1 sdt penyedap / kaldu ayam Sambal bilis: 3 siung bawang putih 8 siung bawang merah 10 cabai merah 1 tomat, potong ½ bawang bombai, iris 100 gr ikan bilis goreng 1 lembar daun salam 2 batang serai, potong dan geprek 2 iris jahe 12 gr terasi 50 gr gula merah 3-5 sdm air asam jawa Garam Penyedap 2-3 sdm air Pelengkap: 1 timun kyuri, potong 50 gr kacang tanah dengan kulit ari 50 gr ikan bilis 6 butir telur Ayam goreng rempah (https://youtu.be/_BwxOkFGnfc) Bawang merah goreng Langkah: 1. Cuci beras, kemudian masukkan ke dalam rice cooker bersama dengan santan, kaldu / penyedap, garam, minyak, air, bawang merah goreng, dan bawang putih goreng kemudian aduk rata. Masukkan jahe, serai, dan daun pandan di atasnya, jangan diaduk lalu masak dengan mode memasak nasi hingga matang 2. Untuk sambal bilis, blender bawang merah, bawang putih, cabai merah, terasi, dan air hingga halus kemudian tumis hingga mengeluarkan minyak lalu tambahkan daun salam, serai, jahe, tomat, dan bawang bombai iris. Aduk-aduk hingga wangi lalu tambahkan gula merah, garam, penyedap, air asam jawa, ikan bilis, dan air kemudian masak dengan api kecil hingga kecokelatan 3. Goreng ikan bilis dan kacang tanah hingga kering, sisihkan 4. Untuk telur, bisa digoreng setengah matang atau sesuai selera 5.
