Released in 1974 at the height of the 70s Kung Fu craze, this evergreen fun and funky classic was number one in virtually every market around the globe including the US, UK, France , West Germany and Australia. It has since gone on to sell an incredible 11 million copies worldwide making it one of the best selling singles of all-time. The song was written and produced by UK disco maven Biddu. It continues to resonate with generations old and new via covers from Bus Stop (featuring Carl himself) and also Cee-Lo Green & Jack Black and also the Vamps for the hugely successful Kung Fu Panda franchise where the song has touched a whole new set of fans.
