Conner Mantz — 13:32.69 Although there was a lot of clippings and pushing going on, it was a walk in the park win for the veteran Paul Chelimo and finished first in this Olympic Team Trials. Textbook strategy for the last 100m as well to let the runners behind you run longer distance. Happy that Grant Fisher was able to make the team. But was really rooting for Cooper Teare to get in the cut but nonetheless he was able to keep up with the world class long distance runners and finished forth. Looking forward for fireworks in the Tokyo Olympics for the 5000m run. |
