There are 2 trade-offs here. The arc and speed in the throw aren't as gentle or pretty as the Zipflight or Paraflight by Chuck-it. And when a dog connects with the frisbee, there is a certain "thud" of a dog running full speed into a heavy plastic disk. Having said that, if you are tossing this frisbee far into the water for a dog to retrieve, this is perfect. The bright colors and floating properties make it easy to spot and grab.
