| Video Discription | Lloyd's Classic Car Auctions is proud to introduce THE UNREIL COLLECTION, one of the most impressive collections of exotic and rare Classics to come to market for a number of years! This UNREIL collection custodian’s first car was a Ford Prefect, costing just $100 that he learned to drive in the bottom paddock on the farm, also named the dam paddock. After a year and a half of learning to the drive the car, his father said- we might want to teach to drive on bitumen now. The first car that he ever drove on bitumen was a 2 door VJ Valiant. From that point his family took him to a car race meeting at Oran Park in his early teens where he became fascinated by men racing around a race track, he also at that time became fascinated by Allan Moffat, being one of the first professional motor car racers in Australia. In that moment he knew cars would have a massive impact on his life, car racing would also and hopefully Allan Moffat. On his way home from Oran Park sitting in the back of the VJ Valiant, he decided he simply must go into business for himself as that is the only way he is going to be able to afford to become and A grade Racing car driver. This eventful day created the mould for this teenage boy’s future from that point forward. Not only did he go on to become one of Australia’s most successful businessman, but he also followed his passion in race car driving all the way through to Bathurst, with the pinnacle achieving a top 10 result in Bathurst in 1998. So, this collection starts off at the Ford Prefect goes through the 2 door Valiant’s, for reasons not worth noting we drive past the start of the collection of police cars then through to some of the most desirable sought after, and super rare V8 Race Cars that reflect his journey. We then move forward to some super rare Holdens and Fords, through too pristine HSV’s where we come to a rather loud conclusion of the journey thus far, the Lamborghini Aventador. This collection started with a $100 Ford Prefect and closed out with a $1.5M dollar Lamborghini Aventador, what a collection, what a life, what an opportunity.
