Its real value is to make the strategy more reliable, since farming over12k for the army needs either some more time, a good luck (Cortes & some big loots in rumours), or using this trick. --- Played & recorded with Dosbox 0.72 and Colonization latest version (3.0, feb-95, as seen on title screen). I used 90000 cycles (to make map generation faster, but also in hope it improves the RNG... well, not sure about this, yet) I used no tools or cheating, but put de Soto's weight at 999 in "NAMES.TXT" out of lazyness to avoid having to restart 81% of my games after landing. (I think this run was done before this minor edit, but can't be 100% sure) oVddIrYXSt4 |
