From there, a team of surgical professionals spent months planning what would become an extremely complicated 24-hour marathon surgery to separate the girls and give them independent lives. Using the latest high tech tools, including mixed reality goggles and 3D printers, they were able to create a plan to perform surgery on the rarest form of conjoined twins.
