| Video Discription | Conjunctivitis is commonly called as Madras Eye. The most common cause of conjunctivitis is viral infections. They are also occasionally called as eye flu. The symptoms of conjunctivitis are redness, watering, white discharge or what is called as mucous discharge. It may affect one eye or it may affect both the eyes. It may be bacterial or viral. The most common is viral infections of the eye. Conjunctivitis is usually highly contagious. The mode of spread is not by looking into one other’s eyes. The most common mode of spread is by contact, that is if the person goes to a crowded area like a mall, a bus stop, railway station, and he touches the ramps and the railings in that area and by mistake the touches the eye, then there is a high likelihood that the person can develop contagious Conjunctivitis.
