This showcased the creative genius of one of the most well loved and well respected directors of musicals, TV specials, concerts, TV shows, etc. - AL QUINN. He made the musical number look like it was shot in black and white for television. To remind televiewers that there was nothing wrong with their TV sets, he interspersed shots of the audience in color. Very clever indeed!
