"RPM", 2002.
Grand Zero formed in 2002. That year alone, the group released an impressive total of six singles, and quickly developed a fair-sized indies following not just due to their prolific mannerisms, but also because of the fact that most of Grand Zero's members were already involved in numerous well respected visual bands. In July of 2003, Grand Zero released its first mini-album, "Koi Wazurai (恋わずらい)", which sold extremely well for the young band. The group then released its second mini-album, "Hyouryuubin (漂流瓶)", in February of 2004. Later that July, Grand Zero released its second single, "Ichi Hitomibo (一瞳惚)", and the group were indeed riding high in the visual underground. Nonetheless, Grand Zero eventually ended up disbanding by late 2004. Frontman Kazuki went on to front the obscure indies band, Di-Lumina, which also ended up splitting in 2009. After Di-Lumina's split, Kazuki went on a solo career under his full name of Kazuki Daigoro (歌月大五郎), which he is still doing today. One of the guitarists of Grand Zero, Mariki, went on to join one last highly obscure indies band, Rocket Foodcourt, under his full name of Shinryoku Fukuzawa (深沢真力). When Rocket Foodcourt eventually split, Shinryoku also retired from the visual underground. The drummer of Grand Zero, Shizuru (静流), temporarily retired from the visual scene after Grand Zero's disbandment, but returned in 2012 to join Hirameki (閃), which he is still a part of. Bassist Masat reunited with the members of his original band, Ozworld, and the members formed Eject in 2009. Interestingly, it is unknown if Eject recorded material, but it is known that the members did multiple radio broadcasts under the Eject name. When Eject mysteriously disappeared in 2012, Masat then retired from the visual scene as well. The other guitarist of Grand Zero, Takeru (建), joined the extremely well known visual band Moi dix Mois under the name of K, and he also joined the indies bands, sUs4 (刺四), under his full name of Kengo Tachibana (橘健吾). However, Kengo soon left sUs4, and concentrated full time as a member of Moi dix Mois, until his sudden death in 2014. Kw0CeL5Tptc |
