| Video Discription | Please like and subscribe to my channel! Bitte liken und abonnieren! This is the second part of my daily warm-up routine, which I try to do every day. The most important thing for me here is to focus on the movements in my shoulders, elbows and wrists to make sure that my arms and upper body stay free the whole time. The tempo I play is of less importance in this routine, sometimes I play slower or faster depending on how I am feeling. As an extra challenge I only play Hanon on the black keys. This makes the exercises more challenging to play evenly and I have the feeling that it helps to prepare me for uncomfortable situations which occur in day to day repertoire. On Mondays I play exercise no.1 in c-sharp, no. 2 in d-sharp and so on. On Tuesday I'll begin with exercise no.1 in d-sharp, no.2 in f-sharp and so on. Each day I practise the Hanon exercises I begin with a different black key. Playing the exercises on the white keys is a special treat reserved for the weekends! I'm pretty sure my neighbours hate me for putting them through this every day. I make sure to play some Bach or Mozart afterwards to make up for it! If you have any questions please drop me a line!
