| Video Discription | DeMorgan's Law was a great extension of Boolean algebra from the great Augustus DeMorgan. DeMorgan's laws, I should say. De Morgan's laws define the logical equivalent of two different statement negations/ The first De Morgan law states the equivalent of not p and q. That is, not (p and q). This is equal to not p and not q. The second Morgan's law is not p or q, that is not (p or q). This is equivalent to not p or not q. This is an important and I think intuitive law of logic. So I hope this brief video helps you understand the De Morgan's theorem/laws/rules of logic. Additionally, in set notation, Demogan's Laws state that the complement of (A intersect B) is the complement of A union the complement of B. Secondly, the complement of (A union B) is the complement of A union the complement of B.
