Homicide #55/2019, Woodbine Avenue and O’Connor Drive, Update, Second video released Homicide 416-808-7400 Case #: 2019-1930830 On Monday, October 7, 2019, at 2:26 a.m., police responded to a call for a Fail to Remain collision where a pedestrian was struck in the Woodbine Avenue/O'Connor Drive area. Once on scene, officers located a person with obvious trauma. He was taken to hospital by paramedics, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Investigators now allege: - an SUV mounted the curb and struck the victim intentionally from behind - the suspects then fled the Cedarvale Avenue/Bracebridge Avenue area westbound on Bracebridge Avenue, then northbound on Woodbine Avenue, then eastbound on O’Connor Drive, then eastbound on St. Clair Avenue East - the SUV is believed to be a 2007-2012 Hyundai Santa Fe, dark blue or black, possibly with front-end damage Investigators are also releasing a video which can be viewed on Youtube. The Toronto Police Service would like to warn the public that the video is graphic in nature.
