First Visit When you first come to our office, we make every attempt to understand your dental history and your present treatment needs and wants. Our friendly front office staff will assist you in filling out your Medical and Dental history, and other forms. This helps us understand your past experiences and thereby helps us cater the treatment accordingly. Typically, on your first visit, we will take the necessary radiographs, using digital x-rays which has an 85% lower dosage rate. We will also take intra-oral pictures of your teeth and gums, in order to help you better understand the condition of your teeth. A thorough examination will be done including pocket measurements, cavity checks, oral cancer checks, TMJ pain, and so on. The comprehensive exam will allow us to fully understand your oral conditions and make the best recommendations. In most cases, at your first appointment, a hygienist will initiate the cleaning and then schedule your other treatment if any. Sometimes, the hygienist will schedule a second appointment to complete the cleaning and also to reevaluate the healing of your gums. INSURANCE & FINANCIALS All payments or payment arrangements are due at the time of service. For your convenience, we work with all Insurance plans. We will provide estimated cost and co-payment information based on your insurance and will submit claims to your insurance. Final co-payments may sometimes be different from the estimates. We also accept Cash, Checks, All major credit cards, and CareCredit. CareCredit allows you to get your treatment now, while deferring your payments, in most cases without paying any interest. We provide written treatment plans with insurance and co-payment information prior to your treatment. This is to ensure that there are no surprises about your copays and to establish a payment schedule to ensure that your treatment continues in a timely manner. Payment Options We accept checks, cash or credit cards. We also offer a flexible payment plan. Please see our Financial Coordinator for details. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist.
