| Video Discription | Alongside the growth of social media, the idea of fitting a certain appearance has gained large popularity within society. With this idea, teenagers often struggle as they don’t fit the standards set by the public and develop eating disorders as a result. While this is one perspective on food, eating can also be seen in a positive light when nutritious food is consumed. Laasya dives into different perspectives of food within society as she contrasts dieting and diet culture through research and personal experiences. Laasya Vemparala is a junior at Chelmsford High School who is passionate about dance, music, art, and STEM(Science, technology, engineering, and math). She is an advocate for fitness as well as healthy aspects of nutrition. Laasya is an active member of the community as the co-president of the CHS Red Cross Club, competing member of the Science Team, active member of Junior Class Representative, member of the CHS physics club, and owns her own dance business.
