WHY MAKE A DOCUMENTARY FILM ON SCIENCE, GENETICS, AND HUMAN ORIGINS?
The Bible says that "salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) And in 1 Corinthians 15:22, it says, “For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.”
We made DISMANTLED because we want to see people enter into an authentic, personal relationship with our Creator and Savior, Jesus Christ. But what does that mean?
The Bible claims to be a revelation from our Creator. If God is our maker then that means He knows what’s best for us; it means that He loves us and cares for us. When we come to know the love and kindness of our Heavenly Father, we learn that we have every reason to trust Him. His love softens our heart and changes how we think and how we treat others. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
God as our maker also means that we are accountable to Him for how we live our lives and what we choose to do with the free gift of salvation, offered through the person of Jesus. The Bible refers to Jesus as the “Last Adam”. The first Adam introduced death into the world through his sin, which ruined our right relationship with God. The “Last Adam”, Jesus, restored our relationship with God by paying the penalty for our sins, which is death. As Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
By dying as our substitute on the cross, Jesus paid the penalty for our sins and defeated death by rising to life. Because of what He did for us, Christ offers to every person the free gift of eternal life through the forgiveness of sins. The Bible calls this the Gospel, which means “good news”. To receive this free gift of eternal life you must believe in Jesus and surrender to His loving Lordship over your life. When you do, God will give you a new heart and new desires. You will begin to understand why God calls certain things “sinful”, and you will no longer want anything to do with your former patterns of behavior that displease God. Instead, you will be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Your life will change as you begin to live your life to please God and love your neighbor as yourself. That is what it means to be “born again”.
Sadly, many people do not take this Gospel Message seriously because they have been taught to believe that science has disproven the Bible’s history recorded in Genesis, which explains our need for Jesus due to the sin of the first man, Adam. In talking with people from all walks of life, especially college students, I have found this to be major barrier to faith in Christ. That’s why our organization produced a documentary film on the topic of modern science, genetics, and human origins. It is our prayer that this pervasive stumbling block (i.e., the claim that science disproves the Bible) would be removed from the cultural mindset, so that more people would be open-minded to the Good News of Jesus.
In offering you this free scene from the full length film, I do not have any ulterior motives except to ask you with all sincerity the following question: will you humble yourself before God and confess your sins to Him, and ask for forgiveness and a new life in Christ? Will you walk with God and live your life to please Him? No matter how bad you think you are, the Bible promises that God will not resist a broken and contrite heart. So, what's stopping you? Will you come to Jesus? GhEPAXXwcX0 |
