| Video Discription | Wondering what's the best toothpaste? Now they have many different toothpastes to offer solutions for teeth whitening, sensitivity, gingivitis and gum disease. Charcoal toothpaste has been popularized recently and claims to whiten the teeth more effectively than other toothpastes. It may do so because of the abrasiveness of the toothpaste. It has an RDA level of 70-90 which is fairly abrasive. Parodontax is another popular toothpaste that uses Stannous Fluoride. Stannous fluoride is an anti-bacterial agent that's clinically proven to protect against gingivitis, plaque and tooth sensitivity. However, it can be toxic if ingested so one must be careful using this type of toothpaste with young children. It has an RDA level of 150 Colgate Total also uses Stannous Fluoride which is effective at killing bacteria in your mouth. However, its up to you to decide which of these toothpastes is the best toothpaste. Colgate Total has an RDA level of 70 Prevadent 5000 is a prescription toothpaste that is very effective for those with sensitive roots. It has an RDA level of 112 Dr. Nemeth does not use any toothpaste because in most cases it isn't necessary unless you have a specific condition. There was a study conducted that showed that brushing without toothpaste is just as effective as brushing with toothpaste. So it's the toothbrush that does most of the work!
