| Video Discription | New court documents released Wednesday detail the threats made against LGBTQ+ students at East Valley High School. According to the documents, a student was added to a group chat on Snapchat with other students. The student became concerned when people in the group chat were talking about participating in acts of violence, including shootings, against LGBTQ+ students. The student emailed EVHS Principal Matthew Stevens and Assistant Principal Kate Himmerich letting them know of the group chat with screen shots and video recordings of the conversations. Documents say Himmerich contacted the school resource deputy for the East Valley School District. They contacted Brian Talbott, superintendent for the East Valley School District, and they eventually cancelled school district wide on March 31. READ: Online threats prompt closure of East Valley schools Screen captures and video recordings of the group chat revealed hateful language and threats of violence against LGBTQ+ students at the high school. In those screen captures and video recordings, investigators discovered that one of the suspects described the types of guns they had, including "2 20 gauges, a 7mm and 9 and a 45." One of the suspects, 18-year-old Mack Wilson, was shown posing a photo of what looks like him hold a semi-automatic pistol with a drum magazine. Wilson and the two other suspects were charged with threats to bomb and injure property. Investigators seized two .45 caliber semi-automatic pistols, a 12-gauge shotgun, three "airsoft" pistols. three cell phones, a replica airsoft "glock" pistol and a loaded Glock 9mm pistol magazine. Mack admitted to police that he was in the group chat, saying he was trying to keep the group's plans "a non-violent thing." Mack told the investigators he posted the photo of him holding what he said was an "airsoft" type replica pistol as a "joke."
