| Video Discription | The Moon Sighting Committee will meet this evening at the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs to determine the first day of Dhu Al Hijja 1440. The moon sighting will help set the date for Eid Al Adha, which falls on the 10th day of Dhu Al Hijja. The committee will be chaired by the Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Salmi along with other honourable committee members. The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs has called upon citizens and residents to help sight the moon, and to inform the field teams in the wilayats or contact the sub-committees of the walis’ offices upon successful sighting of the moon.
