This is something that I ministered on a couple of years ago and we've turned it into a book. So today is the launch of this brand-new book. 00:53 Daniel, chapter 6, in verse 3, it says, “Then Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm”. I'm going to go through this and we're going to be showing you that the reason that Daniel and his three friends, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, were promoted was because there was an excellent spirit in them. 1:50 You know, it's similar to like lightning. I've heard people say before that, you know, “lightning, it has no rhyme or reason. You know, you never know where lightning is going to strike”. That's really not true. Did you know, that they now have taken these time lapse photos and they can actually show that sometimes lightning will come up from the ground? There is a negative charge in the ground that attracts this lightning. It's not random the way that a lot of people think… 4:06 My point is that some people look at God's favor and promotion and they think, well, you never know what God's going to do, and it's just like God chooses to bless one and he doesn't bless another, but that's really not true. There are things that you can do that will release and attract the promotion of God and this is what I'm going to be talking about, an excellent spirit. 4:31 Psalms 75.6 “Promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south, but God is the judge: He putteth down one, and setteth up another”. In other words, this is saying promotion is from God. 6:45 Whether you know it or not, God has a purpose for you. You were created on purpose. God has a design for your life and I guarantee you, it's better than you realize. 9:04 I am not saying that just fate and the sovereignty of God makes your life automatically go on a certain course. I am not saying that. That's not what the Word of God teaches. But, God has a plan for your life. 14:10 There are things you can do that will make you receptive to God's promotion and it's an excellent spirit. It starts with an attitude. It's the way that you think in your heart. 14:35 This man came to me and he was just griping and complaining about that he had been with this business since its inception. He was the very first and only employee in the beginning. The thing had grown and I forget exactly, but they had around 30, 40, 50 employees or something like that and this man was still the lowest man on the totem pole. Everybody else had come in and been promoted, but this guy hadn't been promoted… 20:56 When we live in a fallen world, you aren't going to be treated right all of the time. The only thing that you can really control is you and your attitude.
