| Video Discription | The Northrop F-20 Tigershark (initially F-5G) has been described as one of the best fighters that never went in to production. It was developed from the Northrop F-5E Tiger II, as a light fighter intended for export to US allies. It was developed under the FX project, as a jet fighter that could compete with Soviet fighters without using the latest US technology - making it safe to export to US allies. In the FX project, it competed with General Dynamics F-16A Fighting Falcon.
