| Video Discription | Fasting blood glucose is done when you have done an overnight fasting of about 9 to 12 hours. After fasting of that period, usually in the morning, usually we take a sample. The sample is processed to give an indication of how much of blood sugar is in terms of milligrams per decilitre. We do the tests in order to see if the fasting blood sugar is within range. The range should be within 70 to 110 mg/dl. If it is higher than that then we have to do additional tests to find out whether you are progressing towards diabetes or not.
