| Video Discription | The vet prescribed some dried food to be administered to our poorly rabbit. This was made up with water and a little apple juice to make it taste more appealing to the bunny. The food from the vets comes with a big syringe that makes things a lot more tricky, slow, harder to control and causes more distress for the rabbit than we found this method to do. With this method we used 10 x 1ml syringes, cut the ends off with a Stanley knife and then wind a 4mm drill through the end to make the opening bigger. If you don't do this the syringes will clog up with the food Then fill the syringes up with the solution before getting the rabbit, this minimises the time you have to restrain the rabbit. Once you have the rabbit in a comfortable hold, then gently dispense the syringes slowly into his mouth, taking care not to overwhelm him and giving time for him to swallow, our rabbit took them quite happily as he finds apple juice a treat. After each batch, release the rabbit so you can both have a breather, refill the syringes and repeat until all the dose is administered.
