In this video, I discuss the differences between a 35mm DSLR camera lens that relies on a focal plane shutter vs a leaf shutter lens. I demo a PhaseOne 645DF, and IQ 140 digital back, and a Schneider-Kreuznach 55mm LS and Schneider-Kreuznach 80mm LS lenses and show how the leaf shutter moves in comparison to a Nikon DSLR 60mm macro lens. I also discuss the advantages of using a lea shutter lens with includes the ability to synchronize a flash at 1/1600th second as opposed to 1/125th with a focal plane shutter.
