Video Discription |
Inductive charging, also sometimes referred to as wireless charging, uses an electromagnetic field to transfer energy between two objects through electromagnetic induction. Energy is sent through an inductive coupling to an electrical device, which will then use that energy to charge batteries or run the device.
Inside of induction chargers are one or more induction coils, which create an alternating electromagnet field within the charging base. A second induction coil in the portable devices receives power from the electromagnetic field and converts it back into electrical current to charge the battery. The two inductive coils between the components combine to form what essentially acts like a miniature electrical transformer.
