| Video Discription | Star Chinese was a general entertainment channel by Star TV that mainly catered to Greater China audiences with its first iteration running from 1991-96. In a way, it's kinda like Star Plus/World except it was 1) available only in Mandarin and Cantonese, and 2) had programs that were exclusive to the channel. This 1994 trailer for the anime "Creamy Mami, the Magic Angel" is one such example. Seeing this bumper on Star Plus and tuning in at the time specified thinking it was part of the schedule (completely unaware that it was a separate channel not available in our region), was quite the frustrating childhood. Surprisingly, Star Chinese lasted several decades, with Star TV only pulling the plug on it this year because of the redundancy with Disney+ after becoming Disney Star. KYG4FS7jQGU |
