There's tons of Green Technology available to you and in today's video we have the top things you should know. Number one, what is Green Technology? Green Technology is technology intended to mitigate or reverse the human impacts on the environment. Number two, what are some examples of Green Technology? Well, I'm sure you're already familiar with renewable energy and electric vehicles. But some other examples include sustainable agriculture like no-tiil farming, Recycling and carbon capture. Number three, what are the advantage of Green Technology? Well of course Green Technology lowers carbon emissions but it also often comes with less maintenance requirements A reduced operating cost and it's renewable in the sense that most Green Technology does not rely o finite resource. Number four, what are the disadvantages of Green Technology? Well, when you have to make a switch like changing to an electric vehicle, there is going to be an initial investment cost. Many forms of Green Technology are also relatively new which means that they are unfamiliar to much of the market in a similar vein Green Technology. Is still evolving which means many of the products are in the r d stage and both of these factors means that there could be a shortage of skilled labor to install and maintain your product. Having said all this, there are many products that are now more or less standard such as solar panels, wind turbines, and even electric vehicles and more products are going to transition out of this early r d stage. Making them far more reliable and cheaper. So these disadvantages are not a reason to turn away form Green Technology altogether and number five. What are some green technologies used specifically in building and construction. Here are just a few examples green or cools Roots, green or recycled insulation, biodegradable materials, geothermal heating, solar power, heat pumps', smarts appliances, and Technology. So that covers basics of Green Technology but before we go, I wanted to cover one last bit of tech now. This one has been around forever although it is still theoretical or is it. Now I don't usually cover current topics in my video but when I heard on the radio the other day that scientists just achieved nuclear fusion. I had to talk about it in case you are familiar with it. Nuclear fusion is the nuclear reaction that makes stars shine but just because you hear the word nuclear don't go thinking about Chernobyl. Nuclear fusion is different from nuclear fission the reaction that we use in nuclear power plants. Fusion does not produce radioactive waste.
