Instead of a gung-ho power trip, it throws you into a tense, squad-based fight for survival against the Xenomorph menace. Drawing inspiration from titles like XCOM and Darkest Dungeon, Dark Descent is a unique blend of tactical combat, strategic base management, and a dash of psychological horror. Facehugger-Hugging Atmosphere: The game nails the atmosphere. Claustrophobic corridors drip with dread, and every corner could conceal a lurking Xenomorph or a horde of snapping Facehuggers. The sound design is phenomenal, with dripping pipes and alien shrieks keeping you on edge. Tense Tactical Struggles: The real-time tactical combat is the heart of the game.
