| Video Discription | The german company Carl Hoffmann Landmaschinen GmbH developed a world’s first - the steep slope harvester. The harvesting head is carried by an Andreoli Crawler, which is a crucial part of the RMS-system, since it allows an efficient and economic use of the machinery, especially in busy seasons as the autumn. The machine has been designed and built to harvest in terraces but also in the steepest slopes up to 75%. The lightweight construction and shaking system is extremely gentle to the grapes and vines. Harvesting results The quality of the harvesting results satisfies highest requirements and is one of the best in the market of machine harvesting. Slopes and speed A harvesting speed between 3,5 and 5 km/h displays the outstanding performance of the machine, making unmistakably clear that we have reached highly efficient and economic working speed. Harvesting head as an implement CHengineering has designed the harvesting head as an implement, which is connected to the crawler with 6 screws, 10 hydraulic plugs, 1 electric plug and a PTO shaft, enabling to mount the implement on and off the crawler in under 20 minutes and using the machine for other purposes. Since the machine is often pulled by a winch due to the high slopes it is necessary to return in the harvested row. Therefore the harvesting head is engineered in a way that it can be opened up while driving back allowing a returning speed of 9 km/h. Shaking system The Shaking system meets the highest standards. The driver is able to adjust the amplitude, frequency and distance of the shaking rods to the needs of the grapes which leads to our transcendent results. The bord computer has multiple preselected adjustments fitting all kinds of varieties of grapes. The Crawler There is no alternative to the Andreoli crawler in the market. Its components such as the engine, cooling system, wheel drive and pumps are designed and dimensioned to function well and last long even under continuous and extreme operation.
