| Video Discription | We upgraded our Pro Tools HD2 into a Pro Tools HDX Ultimate system, maintaining the same studio routing setup. With a fraction of the cost of a new Apple MacPro, we have built an amazing Intel i9-10900K 3.70 GHz with 64GB Ram DDR4-3200 horsepower station, 10 cores, 20 threads, which will host and work not only with Pro Tools Ultimate but also with Ableton Live, Reason Studios, FL Studio and many other DAW software, while maintaining exactly the same audio interfaces, and therefore not having to move a cable. In the video, you will also find information about the way we routed our Apogee Electronics AD-16X and DA-16X interfaces, via: 1) AES/EBU protocol (connected to two Avid/Digidesign 192 I/O Digital), 2) ADAT protocol (connected to a RME Audio Digiface USB), 3) OPTIONAL protocol (connected to a Sonnet Echo Express SE-I, which was hosting an Apogee Digital Symphony 64 PCIe card), while maintaing the same audio connections to the mixer and outboard gear. So basically we had three different and independent ways to get access to the very same physical audio routing.
