| Video Discription | Have you ever come across something so beautiful, so awe inspiring that you just couldn’t really describe it? Well that is exactly how we felt when we were exploring Heceta Lighthouse Oregon, in Yachats, OR On Hwy 101 South. Driving up Hwy 101 you can see this magnificent lighthouse. We pulled into the parking lot by the Pacific Ocean. The ocean waves were rough and the weather was not very warm but there were people playing and enjoying. Looking straight up the hill you can see the Lighthouse. It is a working lighthouse and was built around 1894. It sits 205 feet above see level. The hike up is 1/2 mile, up hill. Walking up the hill was an incredible experience with the vegetation and view of the ocean below. Just a short hike up you come to the Keepers House where the Lightkeeper’s stayed. You can stay in this home that is now a 6 room bed and breakfast. You awake in the morning to a 7 course meal prepared by Carol Korgan certified executive chef. We will definitely be coming back to stay for a few days. Try to imagine standing 205 feet above the ocean, next to this impressive lighthouse, the water crashing against the massive rocks, and the sunsetting. It is misty and a little cold but the beauty makes you feel all warm inside.
