| Video Discription | (19 Sep 2018) The battle for the key port city of Hodeidah, continued on Wednesday between Yemeni fighters loyal to Yemen's exiled government and Houthi rebels. The Saudi-led coalition has launched several air strikes against Houthi positions in Hodeidah in the past few days to help pro-government fighters advance. Some tens of thousands of residents have fled the fighting along Yemen's western coastline, where Yemeni fighters backed by a Saudi-led coalition are engaged in fierce battles with Iranian-backed Houthi rebels. The war pits Shiite rebels known as Houthis, who hold the north of the country, against a Saudi-led coalition fighting on the side of Yemen's internationally recognised government. The coalition's main tactic has been to bomb the Iran-backed rebels into submission with an air campaign in support of the government forces. Saudi-led airstrikes have hit schools, hospitals and wedding parties and killed thousands of Yemeni civilians. At least 10,000 people have been killed in Yemen's conflict, which has exacerbated what the United Nations calls the world's worst humanitarian crisis. Yemen's civil war has wrecked the country's already fragile ability to feed its population of 29 million people.
